Survey 123 App Protocols for Creating Line Features

How to create line features in Survey 123
STEP 1: Press map under “Shoreline Feature Line Segment” and zoom in to desired area. This is what your screen should look like.

STEP 2: Press the icon that is circled in red.

STEP 3: This is what the screen will then look like.

STEP 4: Press the icon that is circled in red.

STEP 5: This is what the screen will then look like. Find the black + symbol that exists on top of the satellite imagery (it is below the high tide line in the image below). Drag the screen to hover the + symbol over the segment you want to create a line feature for.

STEP 6: Once the + symbol is hovered over the correct area, press the icon that is circled in red. Then drag the screen to hover the + symbol over the end of the line segment.

STEP 7: Once the + symbol is lined up, press the icon that is circled in red.

STEP 8: If the shoreline segment you are mapping has angles, keep repeating step 7 to add vertices. Use the backspace icon to undo any changes (this icon is second in from the right). Once you are done creating the line feature, press the icon that is circled in red to finish with this step in the survey.
