Nicole has a PhD in microbial ecology from Macquarie University (Australia), a Masters in coral reef ecology from The University of Queensland, and Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of California, Davis. She has a broad background of research and work in marine, estuary and freshwater ecosystems, including positions with the Government of South Australia, the Queensland Government and the National Estuarine Research Reserve (NERR).
Nicole is currently the Programs Coordinator for the PSF's Marine Science Program. In this role, she supports the Resilient Coasts for Salmon project along with the rest of the projects in the Marine Science Program portfolio.
